Description:
Tribulus terrestris commonly known as Puncture vine has been used for a long time in both the Indian and Chinese systems of medicine for treatment of various kinds of diseases. Its various parts contain a variety of chemical constituents which are medicinally important, such as flavonoids, flavonol glycosides, steroidal saponins, and alkaloids. It has diuretic, aphrodisiac, antiurolithic, immunomodulatory, antidiabetic, absorption enhancing, hypolipidemic, cardiotonic, central nervous system, hepatoprotective, anti‑inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic, anticancer, antibacterial, anthelmintic, larvicidal, and anticariogenic activities.
Traditional Uses: The dried fruit of the herb is very effective in most of the genitourinary tract disorders. In Ayurvedic and Siddha medicine, it is used to support proper functioning of the genito urinary tract and to remove the urinary stones. Also, used for centuries in Ayurveda and Siddha to treat impotence, venereal diseases, and sexual debility. In traditional Chinese medicine, the fruits were used for treatment of eye trouble, edema, abdominal distension, emission, morbid leukorrhea, and sexual dysfunction.
Therapeutic Uses: சதையடைப்பு (Obstruction of urethra), சிறுநீர் எரிச்சல் (Burning micturition), சிறுநீர் கட்டு (Oliguria), கல்லடைப்பு (Renal Calculi).

Dosage: At morning & night before intake of food, take 1 teaspoon (5g) powder mix with honey or boil with water & drink after filter (or) as directed by physician.
