Vetiveria zizanioides (Khus-Khus) is a member of the family Poaceae is a perennial grass with thick fibrous adventitious roots which are aromatic and highly valued. The roots are aromatic, antifungal action, cooling, antiemetic, diaphoretic, haemostatic, expectorant, diuretic, stimulant, hysteria ,insomnia, skin diseases, asthma, amentia, amenorrhoea, antispasmodic ,kidney problems, gall stones, mosquito repellent and antioxidants.
Therapeutic Uses: அனர்புண், சிற நோய், குட்டம் (Skin disease), மேகக்கட்டி, பித்ததாகம், வித்திரகட்டி (உள்கட்டி).
Dosage: Twice or thrice a day (or) At morning before intake of food, take 1/2 teaspoon (3g) powder mix with water & drink (or) as directed by physician.
