Berberis aristata also known as Indian barberry or tree turmeric, is a shrub belonging to the family Berberidaceae and the genus Berberis. The plant of Berberis genus contains barberine, oxyberberine, berbamine, aromoline, karachine, palmatine, oxyacanthine and taxilamine. From different research Berberis aristata have found to be different pharmacological activities like Anti-depressant activity, Immunomodulatory activity, Antidiabetic effects, Activity against cardiovascular diseases, Antidiarrhoeal activity, Antioxidants, Anticancer, Antimicrobial, Hepatoprotective, Antipyretic activity.
Therapeutic Uses: சுவையின்மை (Tasteless), கணம், கானாசுரம் (Fever), மூல நோய் (Haemorrhoids), உட்சுரம் (Inner fever).
Dosage: At morning empty stomach, take 1 teaspoon (5g) powder boil with water & drink after filter (or) as directed by physician.
