Species from the genus Polygala have been used in folk medicine to treat several diseases, including bronchitis, neurasthenia, inflammation, amnesia, and as topical anaesthetic and expectorant. Moreover, many Polygala species are well-known for producing several classes of secondary metabolites and a variety of pharmacological effects, such as trypanocidal, antiviral, hypoglycaemic, antitumoural, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive and antipsychotic activities. This species is used as a medicinal plant against snake bites and blenorrhagias.
Dosage: At morning & evening empty stomach, take 1 teaspoon (3g) powder boil with water & drink after filter (or) as directed by physician.
