Description:
Nutmeg has a characteristic pleasant fragrance and is slightly warm taste, mostly related to various activities of their essential oils, such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal spasmolytic, carminative, hepatoprotective, antiviral, anticarcinogenic, memory enhancer, antidiarrheal, anti inflammatory etc.
Traditional Uses: It is found effective as a stimulant, carminative as well as for intestinal catarrh and colic. It stimulates appetite, heart functioning, control flatulence, and has a reputation as an emmenagogue (to promote and regulate menstrual flow) and abortifacien. It is used as a remedy for stomach ache, rheumatism and vomiting of pregnancy.
Western Medicine: In Western medicine nutmeg is used as a stomachic, stimulant, carminative as well as for intestinal catarrh and colic, headaches, diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea, fever, bad breath, to stimulate appetites and to control flatulence. It is also valuable for its aphrodisiac and anti-inflammatory properties.
Therapeutic Uses: பசிதீக்குறைவு, இருமல் (Cough), பெருகளிச்சல், விந்துக்குறைவு (Oligospermia).

Dosage: After night food, take 1/4 teaspoon (1g) powder mix with honey or water & drink (or) as directed by physician.
